Host your next show, private party, meeting, conference, movie night, fundraiser, dance party, dance lesson, rehearsal, concert, contra dance, square dance, prom, community event, birthday party at the historic Hardwick Town House!
Hardware/Features/Capacity
The Town House has a capacity of 350 including audience, cast and crew. Approximately 90 seats are on the balcony (only accessible by stairs). Approximately 250 seats are on the first floor. The seats can all be (re)moved to accommodate a variety of configurations.
There is a Knabe baby grand piano available for use. If tuning is needed for a performance, the renter is responsible for obtaining and paying a professional tuner. The piano is on the main floor (not on the stage).
There is a projector screen.
There is high speed internet in the building.
There is a small lighting package (18 fixtures) providing overhead and front light to the stage. No gels provided. The light board can be operated from backstage or in the balcony. Blackout blinds are located in all of the windows to allow for space darkening during daytime events.
The Town House is known for its pristine acoustics, and it is common for people to perform or present without amplification. If using amplification, renter must provide sound equipment, and must recognize that the venue is located in a residential area. Excessive volume may be grounds for complaint. There is speaker cable run around the stage and to the tech areas.
There is a small dressing room backstage with bathrooms.
The building has adequate heat to warm it in the spring and fall, but no air conditioning for hot summer days.
